Valeria Morosini to take part on the compatibility of the selection criteria applied in collective redundancies with anti-discrimination legislation

Toffoletto De Luca Tamajo e Soci, major national player in employment and labour law, will participate at the Annual Employment and Discrimination Law Conference organised by the International Bar Association (IBA), which will take place in Rome from 9th to 10th April 2015.

Valeria Morosini, a partner at the Firm and an Officer of the IBA Discrimination and Equality Law Committee, will be a moderator on Thursday, 9th April, of the session “Collective redundancy: selection models in Europe in the non-discrimination era”, in which the regulations governing collective dismissals will be analysed, and, in particular, the selection criteria applied when selecting the workers to be dismissed. Also participating in the discussion will be lawyers from different European countries and two in-house counsels responsible for various jurisdictions, who will help to highlight the possible inconsistencies between the selection criteria set by the local legislation, and the European Union legislation which aims at eliminating all types of discrimination.
