Ius Laboris grows in the Netherlands and strengthens its coverage in Europe

06 Nov 2015

Ius Laboris, the biggest global alliance of lawyers specialising in employment and human resources law, has announced the arrival in the Alliance of Veugelers Advocatuur, a Dutch firm specialised in pension law. Ius Laboris is represented in Italy by Toffoletto De Luca Tamajo e Soci, which contributed to its founding in 2001.

Veugelers Advocatuur was founded in 2009 by Roel Veugelers, who is one of the leading Dutch pension lawyers and who advises the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Financial Affairs in the Netherlands. It joins the existing Dutch Ius Laboris member, Bronsgeest Deur Advocaten, which specialises in employment law, thereby expanding the presence of the Alliance in the country.

Sam Everatt, Executive Director of Ius Laboris added: “The Netherlands is a core market for pensions with an elaborate system based strongly on collectivity and solidarity. With more than €135bn in total assets projected by 2020, specialist pension advice in this market is of key importance for many of our global clients who require a seamless understanding of local legislation set in an international context.”

The arrival of Veugelers Advocatuur represents yet another step forward in the growth strategy of Ius Laboris. The Alliance boasts a vast worldwide coverage, with the highest quality legal professionals specialising in employment law, who successfully work at both national and international level.

Ius Laboris has more than 1,400 employment lawyers practising in 47 countries and more than 160 cities in the world.
