Marcello De Luca Tamajo, the Head of Toffoletto De Luca Tamajo e Soci’s sports law practice and member of the Sport Disciplinary Body of CONI – the highest level sporting legal body and an institute of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) – was chosen as party-appointed arbitrator by FCC Genoa S.p.A. in the arbitration procedure against the measure taken by the Italian Football Federation’s (FIGC) II Instance UEFA Licensing Committee, which, on 18th May 2015, refused the Club the UEFA licence for the next season due to a delay in submitting the necessary documentation.

CONI’s UEFA Licence Arbitration Board, which also includes Chairman, Franco Frattini and lawyer, Guido Cecinelli for the Italian Football Federation, took note of the withdrawal of the appeal filed by the same claimant company.
